Being a fan of thrillers and murder mysteries, THE SINNERS by Sourabh Mukherjee caught my attention at the very first glance! The cover of the book appeals in such a way that the reader can’t not read it.
Usually when a reader starts a book, it takes a few pages, sometimes chapters, to create a momentum, but this one has such a gripping plot that I got hooked to the book at once! And finished it in one go.
Coming to the storyline, I might not say it’s a rare one but the story has been so perfectly woven around its characters that the reading is so effortless which makes it a wonderful read. The book talks about the dirty world of corporate life, where a software engineer, Vikram is caught in the shackles of an old blunder revenge and ends up dead in his penthouse, which is where from the story catches pace, and it never slows down until the very last page.
The language, vocabulary, grammar is on point, which is what a grammar nazi like me looks for, in a good book. This was my first read by the author and I’m surely going to pick his previous title because I love the writing style. Also not wanting to reveal too much, I’ll leave it onto the readers to calm their curiosity by reading the book themselves.
