Book Review – Accountancy by Vijay Nangia

This book is a great help for non commerce people like me.

Not just for gaining knowledge on the subject but also for practically using it in ones work life or business accountancy.

The book is perfectly divided into 3 parts namely Part A, B and C which help to understand the book in a better manner.

Language used is simple and easily understandable for average English readers too.

The best part of the book is part C where you can find project work which helps to comprehend the book text practically and hence helps readers to understand how to make use of this book in the best possible manner.

This was my first read on an accountancy book and I surely gained a lot from it.

Book Review – Kaya by Swati Das

Kaya is a story that brings to surface the kind of love that actually knows no bounds. Yes, that’s right! No bounds. Not even those of a physical presence of a person.

In the story, Kaya falls in love with Hima, to be precise, with a picture of Hima, never having met Hima ever before.

The book takes us on a goosebumpy ride with perfect narration of the story. The plot is extremely unique and intriguing for me.

It’s a simple read of 254 pages, can be easily completed in a single seating.

Since the plot is different from usual, it keeps the reader’s attention intact till the end.

I absolutely liked how the book has been crafted, the story knitted so beautifully is what caught my attention.

Recommended to every reader out there to try out this unique storyline and learn something different and new from this story.

Book Review – The Bestsellers Wife by Nivedita

The Bestseller’s wife is a sweet short story of 51 pages, can be easily completed in an hour. But the messages it sends out to its readers make an impression for a lifetime!

Though the book is a short read, the Author, Nivedita has done a commendable job on the plot of the story. We often read about authors through Author Interviews, their bios on the books and on internet, but reading a story about an Author and getting to know about his past was something new for me. There’s a tinge of mystery in the book which is revealed in the end, which kept me hooked to the book all through the reading.

The story started with Vagmi as the Social Media Marketing Manager working in her boyfriend’s firm but due to professional differences, she resigns and starts focusing on her childhood dream of being a journalist, which is when she starts her own newspaper and involves herself in social welfare.

The story also talks about how she meets the arrogant Author Ajitabh and how an incident connects them together.

I’ll recommend this to every reader.

The narration was on point with zero errors which made it a fast paced read. The cover also has been thoughtfully designed which adds to the charm of the book.

Kudos to the author for this amazingly crafted book

Book Review – Driftwood by Beetashok Chatterjee

Driftwood is a collection of stories about the sea and the sailors. A bunch of stories full of adventure in and around the sea, the characters present a wonderful plot in each story and every story has something different to offer from the other.

The way each story has been narrated by including similar yet unique characters every time is a commendable thing to do! This is my first read about sea life and I’m mesmerised by every story!

Some stories teach you a lesson, some teach you adventure and some are just to be heard, so magical!

Stories like “The hijack” “Stairway to Heaven” are so beautifully crafted that one cannot help but admire. I fell in love with every story that I read. The narration was pretty strong and the vocabulary was too good. Words related to the sea are now added to my vocabulary, thanks to this book.

This one is a great read, sure to take you on an adventurous ride. Last but never the least, the cover and title are so in sync that they don’t reveal the content upfront. Everything seems to have been done so thoughtfully. And that attractive cover! Simply perfect.

Book Review – A night at Achanakmar by Paromita Goswami

This book was among those which would give every reader a goose-bumpy ride throughout the read. This is a horror suspense story by Paromita Goswami. The title and cover do give an idea about the genre and plot this book has to offer but one can not fathom the storyline.

The story begins when the family plans to go on a drive, the destination being Achanakmar, a beautiful wildlife sanctuary. But life turns upside down when they take a wrong turn and there it all begins. The crazy horrifying nightmares, the spooky incidents which leave everyone astonished!

The family somehow tries to keep their calm and try to understand how to get out of the situation unharmed.

Book Review- The Full Circle by Namrata Gupta

I loved every single bit of this fairy tale like story. Thanks to the Author for penning down such a lovely book for the readers.

Starting from the cover page, the title, the plot and the storyline! Everything is connected superbly and is well synchronised.

It sure seems like a well crafted story. The characters of Aditya, Zinnia(I loved the name!), Anita, and the character of little Sid have been so beautifully developed that one gets too engrossed in the story!

I also loved the bits where the author has described some of the places he visited and it feels like I’m right there, experiencing all of it myself!

The author has perfectly justified the depiction of feelings of love, hatred, jealousy, companionships, compassion and loss in just 150 pages. It sure is a commendable piece of work.

The story is a romance fiction and that too a good one!

Not wanting to reveal too much, all I’d like to say is, this one is worth a read. Especially for romance fiction lovers.

Kudos to the author for “The Full Circle”

Book Review- With Love, Forever by Kavya Janani

With Love, forever by Kavya, is the love story of Bhavana and Jairam. The story captures their lives since teenage, how they met, fell in love at a very young age and the hardships they go through. The innocence of teenage love has been well described by the author. Feelings of love, jealousy, compassion and care are expressed in a very subtle way.

The story takes a crazy turn when Jairam vanishes out of the blue. Despite every effort Bhavana is unable to track him. Which is when she decides to travel to Jaipur to look for her love. She has no details or hints about his whereabouts yet she only follows her conscience and soon finds her way to Jairam.

The characters of her friends Swapna and Vikram have also been portrayed in the perfect way, expressing the concern and care as a friend towards Bhavana and selflessly providing her the help and supported she needed.

Author did a good job crafting such a storyline and the narration is really good. No grammatical errors, story pace was uniform throughout. It was a good one time read.

Book Review – Queen of Hearts by P.G. Van

Not your regular love story!

This book “Queen of Hearts” by P.G. Van is a beautifully curated story. A romance fiction to leave you speechless!

The main characters are Aneesha and Shiv. Story begins with Shiv a rich and the most eligible bachelor described as a young man trying to crack the most important deal of his life. A royal one.

As he sets on a journey for the same, he is encountered with a situation which changes his life altogether, this is when Aneesha comes into picture and the storyline is beyond amazing!

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book, turned out to be an awesome page turner for me. The fact that every emotion was balanced in the book made me hook onto it till the very last page. Usually the genre of romance doesn’t have this thing to offer, which makes the readers lose interest.

But this book had an appropriate mix of balanced emotions described in the perfect manner, they seemed too realistic, a well standardised book indeed.

Title of the book is fancy and catches the reader’s attention. So is the cover.

The book is sure to be on the TBR of readers who like to read compassionate and intense love stories

Book Review – mysterious at 4.30am by Nitin Sharma

Mysterious at 4.30am is a romance novel by Nitin Sharma. This story is no different than a usual romance fiction but it still has a style of its own. The plot is predictable and the storyline isn’t very unique, but the characterisation of Harsh provides a fairly Tale essence to the story, where he’s the prince, the one with the perfect etiquette’s and a fancy upbringing yet being all humble and down to earth. The girl however, Shilpi is from a mediocre family background and is determined to make it big on her own.

The story is about how they meet in college, fall in love and the apt family drama makes this quite an interesting read. The title used arouses a certain level of mystery which isn’t much justified in the story, since it doesn’t give the idea of the book being rather a romance based novel which was a major drawback for me. But the cover is really interesting and attractive.

The story sure deserves a read by all romance fiction lovers. And for some it might be relatable but the characters are quite interesting.
